Tewkesbury Ham is an English Nature designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as it is one of the last remaining traditionally managed ham meadows and hosts a number of scarce plants and birds. The weir was once part of the great mill that used to serve Tewkesbury Abbey
